Me too, I was able to pick up my fully loaded 2022 M5 Comp below MSRP. If I was in the market now I would go to swap a lease and assume a lease at the lower rates.

It's still a reasonable option though, and honestly what I would do before plunking down MSRP+.

Granted, deals are pretty mediocre or even bad right now on both ends of the market. Buyers are paying markup and passing it on when selling. |

Good call, $7k down with $4k equity is basically putting down $11k on a lease. Never put down that much for a lease. My M8 comp with $160k MSRP was leased (right before all the craziness), no money down for $1670/month.

My dealer was awesome the whole way. We had a bit of a misunderstanding at first contact so they took $2k off MSRP for my time/trouble. This was negotiated last July when I ordered. My car arrived at the US port in December when finance rates for purchase were at .9%. My car was held up at the port for a few weeks for the B&W chip so I wasn’t able to take delivery until late January. By then the rate had gone up to 1.9% so I politely asked if there was any chance they could honor the .9. They asked BMWFS if that was ok and I was able to finance at .9.
Having purchased 5 new American cars over the past 10 years, I was very pleased with the experience here. Guess where my first stop will be when my wife’s F-Pace lease is up next March? |
