Backup camera - software upgrade

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Folks - would like to hear your experience. My backup camera is essentially useless after the software upgrade. Changing the brightness or contrast essentially does nothing to the picture - I am stuck in a standard picture which is way too dark.

Anyone else facing the same issues. It is a small issue but I am annoyed that I'll have to take it back to the Dealer.

Side note: the upgrade did nothing to my the pops and bangs in the exhaust; no material increase in warfare sound.

Thank you in advance.

Agreed, the backup camera is horrendous, almost unusable at night. The fact that my Ram truck has a better camera is pretty embarrassing.

BTW I had the update done and my car has less, not more exhaust noise. They are more distinct, but fewer. In addition they are gone during start for the first few minutes. I live on a hill and leaving my driveway I am in 2nd/3rd on the throttle lightly. Prior to my break in service last week the car would be firing all the way down the hill. Now nothing until the oil comes up to temp.

I'll tell you one thing. BMW must be heavily invested in getting this "recall" s/w upgrade done. I've been ignoring the recall notices, and now between e-mails, mailed notifications, and calls from the dealership, I'm being bombarded with reminders to have this "fixed." Until I hear that it results in a remarkable improvement, I'm sitting this one out.
