Agreed. I have leased all my cars and it seems that getting the comp version would therefore be the way to go in this situation.

$7,300 for 17HP and 7mm lower, some stickers is stupid. All marketing fluff, the performance difference wont even be noticeable if these numbers are actual.

Save your money get a tune and some H&R springs, come out ahead and have a better performing car.

Same BMW games...

Hmm what's the "Base Price Diplomatic U.S.A. Port of Entry" listed on the ordering guide? You can pick the car up from the port instead of a Euro pickup?

If so, where would the port be for California?

We'll see if the wheels are a big improvement... that could go a long way towards justifying the price. New shoes ain't cheap otherwise.

They better be great but I doubt it or the price would be higher. Remember M stands for Marketing.

Withdrew my deposit and position on my dealers MY19 Competition Pack. Too many issues with the current production.

Be honest with yourself...we have choices.

I have only seen a few issues, nothing catastrophic. What are you referring to? Thanks

That's not how that works, you have to be a diplomat from a foreign state.

All the foreign made BMWs shipped to California would be inspected by US CBP at Port Hueneme.

Learned this the hard way with the F10. But at least back then the Comp package took a whole year to come out.

Could not agree more, I did not fall in love with the Comp.

I looked into this before selecting the CP myself--there are far more differences than merely the marketing bull you mention (although I agree there's almost certainly some of that in the mix). The top 2 standard options (below) alone account for over $4,500

20" forged wheels / tires
M Sport exhaust
+25hp
0.1sec faster to 100kph
stiffer engine mount springs
upgraded suspension + 7mm lower
high gloss shadow line trim
high gloss grille
mirror caps
lip spoiler
rear diffuser
side gills
… I suspect there's other stuff I'm not thinking of, too.
