Respectfully, he didn't say anything petty, and the only one coming across as such is you. Tesla is having production problems. Period. It's well documented. They can't build as many as they said they could, and the ones they can build have horrible quality issues. Your blind defense of Elon Musk and Tesla in the face of factual evidence contrary to your statements make you sound like one of the innumerable paid Tesla trolls clogging up bandwidth on blogs everywhere.

Not sure how you claim this... I'll be the first to be critical of my F80 where due because its far from a perfect car and has lots of imperfections (like the beloved DCT that I actually think is sub-par) but tough to say its not a "driver's" car. Is it different from your E92? Sure.... but its definitely a drivers car.

BMW has their share of fanboys. In fact one could argue the brand is entirely made up of them. I know cause I used to be one. As well as a driver.
The thing is every 5 series has a resemblance to the one before and thus all connected. This means your 5 series bears a striking resemblance to a $5,000 used E60 and thus your $120k M5 is a $5,000 car. That mistake cannot happen with a Tesla. Again this is coming from a huge BMW fan. I'm sure the M5 is great but really it's hard to knock a car that's from the future. Gasoline cars by comparison are dinosaurs.

Tesla really should hire you as their COO and CMO as they desperately need someone like you to increase their production capacity and increase sale volume to become profitable in a niche market that they have already maximized. (does this even make sense?) Stop wasting your time here and apply. LMFAO!!!! I should really stop wasting my time to reply to ignorant ppl here too. See ya! |

Tesla just got there quick. I like the gas engines still but can definitely see the future will be quiet electric engines

M5 is a far superior car in every category besides fuel economy. But who the heck would buy the M5 for fuel economy anyway?

I don't think the Tesla looks remotely like a DSM in that there are no shared design queues. Last edited by Spara; 03-21-2018 at 11:20 AM.. |

FUNNY, that exactly reflected what he said. TESLA = FANBOY.
The company will probably report a loss in the range of $1 billion dollars and delivered less than 20k cars last year but has a market cap bigger than GM, but hey, stock is doing well.

Please, let’s not get on a tangent about automotive bailouts or car manufacturers hemorraging money before getting saved, Jim Cramer.

Interesting deduction; i won't comment on its validity though.

99.9% of the people on this board could care less about a Tesla. It is a soulless vehicle that makes no sound and drives like my kid’s razor scooter. The M5 and the Tesla are two totally different vehicles. 🍎 to 🍊.

As a P100D owner I also visit Tesla forums and over there there is a thread almost 100 pages long on how Tesla maybe should revise how they advertise their HP. P100D makes close to 700HP at peak but the problem is, it can't do it for long, and also it depends on SOC (as in battery's state of charge). if battery has say, 20% left, you won't get anywhere near 700HP. Imagine if the M5 has half a tank left, the engine will now reduce output to 400HP? I think Tesla have now taken HP figures off their website. Like I said before, I love my P100D but it still has a lot of limitations. |
