First set looks good, but reminiscent of the csl wheel which has been murdered on most bmw's. The price is very good, and a difficult one to compete with since they are manufactured in Taiwan. What kind of forgings are they using and are they 8 or 10 ton?

I know the CSL is "played out" to a lot of people, but honestly I buy parts that perform and look the way I like them to. here in Houston you don't see too many modified m3's at all, so its not like they are all over the place. for whatever reason, CSL wheels just look "right" to me on a BMW haha Quote:
On another note, I am sure that something like HRE is superior technically, as they should be. The question is, are the BC forged good enough quality for me? Is the finish good enough? I trust the strength due to the certificiation, but we will see what the final product really looks like when I get them. I used to have some Morr Vs8.2 on my old e92 with the brushed finish, so these BC forged have a lot to live up to. Ill be sure to be 100% honest with my impressions

This is awesome! I was looking at these very wheels for if/when I order my F80. I am happy they made a 19" version.
Looking forward to this thread

Are you sure that 19x10 is going to fit with et30?
I think you may want to go 19x10 et25. My et29 stock wheels have plenty of clearance with a 12.5mm spacer. I could easily fit a 15mm and probably an 18mm. The 19x10 is going to be 6.35mm + 1mm closer to the strut than the stock 19x9et29, so I'm worried it will rub on the strut especially with a wider tire. |

I don't want a 10 et25 I don't think bc it's a little too aggressive for stock height imo, especially with a 275 tire I have sent an email to bc to revise my size to the following 19x9.5 et25 19x10.5 et35 So +10 in the front and + 10 in the rear. Should allow for good spacing with a wide ad08r in 275/295. I may also go with an re11 in 265/35 and 285/35. That's my favorite tire and should also help eliminate a little wheel gap and fit the wheel width perfectly. Anyone have any other ideas? I'm open to any ideas Last edited by Black Gold; 10-18-2014 at 09:38 AM.. |

I actually think that a 19x10 et25 is not going to be too aggressive - like I said with 12.5mm spacers, I have plenty of clearance up front. 275/30r19 shouldn't be a problem.
the 19x9 et29 + 12.5mm spacers = 19x9 et16.5. Figure an 18mm spacer would be et11. The 19x10 et25 is 6.35mm + 4mm closer to the outside, and a 275/30r19 will be another 10mm close to the fender than the 255/35r19 but shorter. I think it will be fine. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1046622 They've tested botha 265/35r19 and a 275/30r19 on a 19x10 et25 and it looks like there is plenty of clearance. |

After looking at other wheel specs (mostly the PSI TE37 pictures) I wound up ordering 19x9.5 +15 | 19x11 +30. I'm a little scared on the front fitment. Wish me luck!

The rear is a little aggressive but your running 19s so you should be ok with a little camber and also depends on what tire you are running.

You're likely going to be limited to a 275 or 285 in the rear. A 295/30r19 won't fit easily with +30

I probably could have gone more aggressive, but don't regret it at this point. for a lowered car, I could have easily added 5mm front and rear what are your wheel plans? I doubt it too, but ill see for myself and report all details thanks brotha, whats the plan for you?

I'll get in touch with HRE and see if it's not too late to change to a 35. Quote:

Here they are in 18x9.5 and 18x10.5. They look more like a flat face wheel, like the HRE R40 line. I think that pic in the original post is deceiving, as it shows a lot of concave.

Interesting, good to know. Does this include the entire RS lineup and the RS43?
