Charging Port Extremely Hot

There are 2 bolts in the engine compartment to be used for a jump start, and the positive bolts gets extremely hot when the engine is running. I noticed the cable is corroded and at this point don't know what to do other than replacing the cable. Has anyone ran into this issue?
