MPE tip adjustment
It’s a small thing, but I feel like the MPE tips protrude just a little too far. Anyone else feel this way?
Plus, is there a way to adjust them? Last edited by saveywil1; 05-15-2021 at 06:18 AM.. |

If you grab a pic I can compare to mine. From directly above, I can just barely see the corner of the outer tip. I think it looks spot on.
There does seem to be some adjustment via loosening the allenhead bolt securing the clamps. It not going to be easy with the exhaust on the car, but doesn't seem impossible. |

I think there is room for small adjustment, but it may be really difficult to get a wrench or socket in that gap without dropping the exhaust. Maybe post some pics?

Based on the pictures, especially the first, it does seem to me that it does protrude quite a bit past the bumper line.
I had the same issue when I had my iPE exhaust installed and was able to easily make adjustments as the bolt for the clamp was on the lower end of the pipe which made it easily accesible. I guess my question is .. can you loosen the bolt on the clamps enough to rotate the clamp to where the bolts are on the bottom? This may be an easy way to make the adjustment without having to drop the exhaust. The tips are big enough that the bolts will not be visible any way (at least I don't think so). Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

My assessment is that the rear section of the exhaust will need to be dropped in order to loosen the 5mm allen-head bolts that secure the tips. I can get a wrench on the bolt head, but there is zero clearance for movement even with a mini ratchet. I would take it up with your dealer.

saveywil1 just curious but did you notice this when you picked up the car in SC, or after you got home? I would have probably said something right then and there!
