I have ordered the exact same car plus CCB now. Was ordered in December and delivered in March. So I assume it is a 2019 model.

So everything went as planned and I have the feeling that the car was built really safe.

Just curious how bad the damage really is.
Glad you're safe

There's a lot we can all say engine wise, airbags, frame etc. Of course we'd all hope car Is totaled so you can get a brand new one without concern of proper repair, frame damage etc but at the end of the day, you're alive and that's worth more than any of these other issues. They are all secondary. If we can help with insurance let her know. Sometime you have to fight. Please post your progress here. I can perhaps help guide you if it's not totaled.

Who's you're insurance company ?

I had a 7 series that was totaled. Actually I had 2 or 3. I think 2009. At a light, guy runs cross light, full speed into explorer next to me (older women) who suv slides into me. He runs out full speed towards the ladies and screaming and about ready to hit one of them. I couldn't get out of my car as the explorer was fully pressed against my driver door. I open windows. Her engine on fire. I climb out window quickly and intervene. He's screaming and fist
Goes back and I grab his arm. Ask him wtf is wrong with him. Said "dude, you blew through a massively red light". Then his wife, kids and dog get out of his car all bleeding. These ladies were at least 70. He's still going ballistic as if it was there fault. Fire and police show up, spray water everywhere including inside my 750. He's subsided at this point but I agree. Long story and not needed here but I never felt so safe from a car. Insurance tried to repair. I disputed and they gave a hard time based on percentage of damage vs value. Until....body shop informed State Farm my firewall was punctured. All over. Instant total and that was after spending 70k on body work thus far despite
My insistence to total. Had similar issue with a ford raptor. Geico. Sent email to ceo with some numbers and explained I understood they had policies but policies are meant to be broken when numbers make sense. And not (I kid you not 10 minutes later) body shop called and said some guy in a suit was there and asked them to total car. If I can help let me know.

Bottom line with all these details and extended stories- don't take shit and yes these cars are crazy safe in most circumstances except perhaps the very worst.

I just received the replacement M5 last Friday. Same specs but the car has CCB now. The brakes seem to be perfect in daily driving, haven't used them hard yet as they need a 1000km break in. Will have the 2000km inspection next Friday and then I am off to Italy for a week over Easter.
