iDrive 7 crash
Today I was driving along and pressed the steering wheel button to bring up entertainment sources. It went away so the car could display a rough road warning. I pressed the button again to bring it back but nothing happened. I turned then the rough road warning went away and I got a dreaded BMW chime and all the lights turned on the dash and it said "driver assistance not available". Then both screens and the HUD went blank. Then everything came back on normal including the M mode display and navigation destination.
At least the car ran fine during all this. Yay software bugs. |

Just now I checked the BMW app and it said I need battery service, the charging system is bad, and the brake are malfunctioning.
I told it to lock the car (to cause a refresh) and all those issues went away. |

Or not. The app still lists the issues but the car itself does not.
