I asked my guy what the parts about and he said he's not going to tell me till he sees me, since it's so "fn" ridiculous!
I then sent the photo just posted on previous page and his response was "Crazy right ? $113000 car held up for a .10 cent zip tie." SMH!!!

Ok, I know I posted something about patience earlier... but a few wire ties slowing down my highly engineered German supersedan? You're killing me smallz.

As far as a recall, this isn't one, so must be a stand alone issue.

Welcome to the club! From this thread though, you will see that it's a 2 second fix with zip ties!

Does anyone know what happens if the car thinks it runs out of fuel??? I just filled up my tank and my car thinks it only has 1.5 gallons of fuel ~30 miles of range. The car is going in to service in 3 days, but I will exceed 30 miles before then. Will the car think something is seriously wrong and refuse to operate normally if the car thinks it has zero fuel?

The gauge just didn’t reset back to full. It’s still dropping as I drive and will show zero soon. I’m worried the car will prevent itself from starting if it thinks the tank is empty.

Hmmm... be sure to bring it in for service at 1/4 tank or less... Sounds like they may need to drain the tank for access in this scenario.

Does that mean they have to remove the tank? Is gas tanks accessible without removing all the rear end of the cars driveshafts and rear differential? It might actually be a large labor intensive job for a stupid zip tie
