Has any one else been experiencing incredibly slow speeds on the BP iOS app over the last few days? It’s painfully slow.

I’ve got two wireless different wireless service providers — whether either one is on LTE, 5G, 5GE, 5GUW — my iPhone 14 Pro Max connected to Gigabit Wi-Fi, and while connected to one of the best routers money can buy, is excruciatingly slow. I’m also on the most recent version (5.5.10) of the app. Time of day doesn’t matter.

Here are screenshots. First one shows what I see when I click on someone’s profile, second one is trying to trying to load threads, third one is trying to open the new posts section with the infinite spinning circle, and fourth one is the “no connection” error I keep seeing after multiple attempts to reload each page. It takes three, four, sometime more taps of the “reload” button until anything actually loads. Loading any little thing takes up to a full minute load, even more minuscule things than threads and posts.

Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve never had this happen in the few years I’ve been more active on here. Please post here if so so that mods will see it. Trying to tag them, but it keeps timing out.

Uploading this post, it timed out five times. Keeps getting saved as a draft. Took six attempts and ten minutes before it went up, but only after several “you do not have permission to post in this forum” errors.

Yes, several people have been having the same issue https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2044348 It looks like it's an issue with the BP app.

Yes I've been having this a lot the last few days. And in my car the traffic data disappeared. And my music streamer has been laggy. It feels like the whole Internet is busted. Maybe it is struggling with back to school week

I'm more on the side thinking it's the backend. I don't use the app, and it's been hot garbage via desktop (and mobile) browser. It may be that the app handles the latency/delay far less gracefully, though. I think BP uses Cloudflare for DDoS protection? I could have sworn I saw the page once. Maybe the spammers are pissed; I haven't seen any of their posts recently. There's one here or there but not like it was.

Thank you for sharing! My thoughts are that it is backed related as well. I may try the mobile site or accessing via desktop, but the app is generally so convenient that using it is my preference.

Interesting observation about the spammers. You made me realize that I haven’t seen many in the last week or so either. Silver lining?! Lol.
