Being scammed on ebay

So I always try to sell my bmw items on here as I’ve never had an issue, but as you know, with niche items sometimes listing on other sites can help get an item sold.

I never thought I would get scammed on ebay as a seller however. So I sold this F90 diffuser recently and the buyer after receiving the item (delivery confirmed), files a payment transaction dispute.

Anyone know the chances of me winning the dispute even with proof of delivery and the buyer basically acknowledging he was expecting the item? I know payment disputes are hard to win as a seller.

I don’t think he is a user on here. Tough times that people who can afford these cars have to resort to scamming for parts.

Based on what you’ve presented here, I honestly think you have nothing to worry about. I had similar thing happen to me plus the buyer gave me negative feedback. In my case, the buyer didn’t even acknowledge delivery. He said he never received yet there was tracking proof of delivery. His post office even confirmed it verbally for me. eBay found in my favor, I kept my money and had the negative feedback removed.

This has happened twice to me on eBay. With your proof of delivery, and some persistence with eBay, they’ll tell the guy to take a hike.

It also depends on how he’s disputed the charge. Is it not delivered, or item not as described? The latter is a pain in the ass to deal with, because eBay automatically defaults to buyer’s side. With persistence and proof of communication on your side, you should be made whole.

Good point regarding the NATURE of dispute! I was assuming the former but yeah, the latter would present some challenges for sure.

I absolutely detest eBay. The world is filled with scumbags and they all shop and sell there. Worse than the scumbags is eBay which more often than not sides with the buyer despite how ludicrous the claim.
