depends, Calif of course is 20k over, but they were probably like that when the M5 first came out too, wait and see, not alot of people want to pay more for "less" and the styling changes are subtle, I heard MSRP is still out there or will be. People always flake out.

I'd call around aggressively. I had a few dealers in my area willing to do MSRP a few weeks back, but the reviews are starting to drop on YouTube (Chris Harris gushed over it today) which means the premiums will start popping up. Its worth trying to secure an order because Frozen vs Non-Frozen paint does impact price and daily drivability.

You think Park Ave is selling over MSRP? I already have my MSRP order, so I'm happy. And I'm merely saying, frozen paint is just a pain to maintain properly on a daily driver so if you want to order regular Brands Hatch grey instead of taking a dealer order in Frozen Deep Green, then its good to get an allocation and order and save the $5k on the paint. I don't know anyone personally who runs Frozen Paint on a daily and my dealer said the same.

found one... January build date. It does not look like there will be a lot of these build. Dealer received only 3 allocations and they all spread out within like 3 months of each other.

Hmmm, that is interesting. When allocations were first released the dealers were told that production dates would be in July and November. I wonder if they added a 3rd run.

Haven't heard of a January build date yet, but they should be building these through the year for people that want one.

Isn't the M5CS only limited in build timeframe, but not necessary limited in a set number out of the gate?
Production ends on March 2022, so I'm sure additional allocations will be released as the hype dies down.

I am actually almost pretty positive it is going to work like the M2 CS lets say 90% are accounted for in terms of allocations out currently. I am sure at the end of the year BMW may a grant a few more allocations but it looks like once they are made that is it. Trying to keep the CS models more of a rare occurrence compared to the M3 and M4 where they just kept pumping them out. One year of making it and that is it.

You received more allocations though, which means these aren't going to be as rare as originally suspected. If dealers are getting between 3-5 each, should be around ~1,400 US cars, which is well over the number of M2 CSs and M3/M4 CSs.

That is true. We did do a lot of hunting for them getting from other other dealers that did not want the CS. But for now the performance figures we see out there I am sure will make it a desirable car for a while due to looks and performance at least for a while.

My local dealer got zero. By that logic, the M5 CS should be rarer than the Chiron!
