Is this the same one I contacted you about several weeks ago and never received a reply from you? Sounds like trolling to me...

Got a production # for a 2019 M5. CA says arrival probably around late Sept/Oct. It's been quite a journey getting my hands on this car that has NO tri-color seatbelts and ceramic controls.

Just called the customer service line for an update and found out my car went into production early at 7:57 AM yesterday! If the typical production and delivery timeline holds, I may actually have it in time to drive it to the BMW M Track Days event I'm registered for on August 23rd and Monticello Motor Club.

So my 19' M5 Comp went into production today; more than one month ahead of schedule.

Time to start parting out my F10 M5.

Can anyone chime in on how long it will take from this stage to delivery?

I just received my 2019 VIN number for my M5. I am told it is on the boat and soon to land in Canada. I tried to add it to MY Account, but it doesn't accept it yet. The dealer expects late August for delivery.

This is very rough, and conservative, estimate:

1 week to build, then
1 week to get to port and loaded on a ship, then
3 to 4 weeks to cross the pond, then
1 week to clear the VDC and get to your dealer

It will very possibly take less than the 6 to 7 weeks laid out above.

I'm week 45. Individual paint selection pushed it back from an October build. Patience... patience...

I may have to amend the timeline I gave you. Apparently there is a long lead time from when BMW tells you production begins (i.e., status 150), and the car actually starts getting built (status 151). I was driving by my dealer today so stopped in, and my CA looked up my car on his system. Work has still not begun on my car yet even though "production began" a week ago. It seems 150 status means the car specs (colors, options) are locked down and all the necessary parts are ordered. Also, the car is assigned a VIN. It seems the car spends 2 or 3 weeks in 150 status before going to 151 status when actual work starts on the car.

I'm in the same week as you. Nardo grey with tartufo interior. Individual paint does push it back a bit. Hopefully I like nardo better then frozen arctic grey
