I don't think there are programs for the 2019s yet, most dealers would be estimating at this point.

Just placed my order last night, had to get it confirmed after double-checking the Azurite option.

Azurite Black
Full Black Leather
Exec
Forged Wheels
Dark Trim

Haven't negotiated lease yet - i have a good rel'ship with dealer so don't expect this to be an issue.

Anyone ordering the Comp pack with M Driver package? So it can go above 158mph. Not sure if there is any road here to support the speed

Dinan will be much more than 17hp... .

Of course the tighter M5 Comp. Model suspension would be nice.

I have taken my E39 and F10 M5's to the track and being able to go above 155 mph does come in handy. Also, having the M Driver's package will be good for resale value.

Received allocation last week for an M5 Competition and today my car went into production (no individual choices). Was slotted for week 29, so a bit surprised to see it enter production already.

That's awesome news; week 32 build for me so hopefully it goes into production earlier as well.

What status code is the order?

Can anyone help? I have an allocation that’s says 2018/10/40. Does that mean October week 40 production build? It’s in status 111

Going for comp package, but need to time mine for after the New Year.

Allocation strategy is tough, so many unknowns - idea now is to get on list for allocation around October, receive one in December for a March delivery.

Not sure where to find the status code. From Track My BMW on the BMWUSA website, the third bubble is highlighted and below its says "Production Begins" and that the car has entered into the production queue.

Status code has now been updated to say that it is Awaiting Carrier Assignment, meaning that it has been built and passed the quality check and is waiting to leave the factory for shipment. Well ahead of the original week 29 build date.

Does the website give you the week-level estimate?

I don’t know, every time I try to login I get an error message. I called the customer service line.

Hi Phorbes,
Congrats, assuming you got the confirmation from the dealer!
Did you order through Austin or South Austin dealer?
Thanks,

I decided not to order locally as I find most SA's here to be absolutely unaware of what they're selling. I'm in sales myself and if I find a mutual sales guy lazy and uninformed on the products they're pushing, then I just walk out as I can't handle dealing with someone who I know should know more about the car than I do...

With that said I was approached through Bimmerpost by an actual salesman who hustles and gets things done (Nick McNevin) @ Richmond BMW.

I've placed order with him and my build spec has been accepted. No word on delivery date but we're thinking Sep.

Build as follows -
M5 Comp
Fashion Gray
Dark Carbon Trim
Tartufo Interior (might change to black before it goes into production)
Exec Pkg
Carbon Roof
B&W Sound
Drivers Assist

Car will be transported to me here in Austin after ceramic coating is done in Richmond and they'll be taking my F80 back with them on trade.

We've agreed @ MSRP but I'm hoping I can get the ceramic coating thrown in as added bonus.

$140k+ after taxes. What a terrible choice, but I'm not losing sleep over it

- Jonathan

Thanks - I checked via the phone and got a production of mid-Oct, with delivery as late as Dec. Having second thoughts - it's a heck of a wait.

Brand new to the forum here. Just received my allocation for a 2019 BMW M5! I am completely new to the BMW brand, but I am very excited for this car. I have ordered Marina Bay Blue metallic exterior color with Silverstone Full Merino Leather. I elected not to order to competition package since it will be my daily driver and I live in the midwest where snow will be a daily winter occurrence. This forum has been extremely helpful in my decision making process with the options I selected. Sounds like I will have an October build with a December delivery date. Thanks for all of the help this forum has already been in helping with my selection.
