euro LL04 oil
Discovered yesterday that Carquest parts stores carry their own brand "Carquest" euro 5w-40 synthetic oil which meets LL04 specs. Sells for approx. $50.00 (Cad.$) for a 5 litre jug. I suspect that this is a Pennzoil product (Shell). Sure it is less expensive at U.S. Carquest locations.
FYI. |

Interesting that you can buy it for $35.53 plus tax. Best price I have noted was $45.61 plus $4.20 premium for 5w-40 from a US supplier. |

I believe Carquest oil is made by Ashlund who also makes Valvoline. I don't see a problem using it. What do you think the quick-lube places are using in your car?

^ I never use any quick lube place.
I buy my own oil and use oem oil filter. pay $25 for labor and go to either RMP or my current mechanic to do the change. |

Actually no. It's been $40 taxes in for the last 3 years @ IGarage. The owner, Ivan said the price may be going up in the Spring, but he does not know how much.
Speedstar, Nextmod, etc. cannot match IGarage price. |

Not much, probably $0.25 since I had to drive past that location on another errand. Also bought sufficient for the next three changes. Should also note that the regular price is $39.95. Sure beats having to drive to Markham.
