I always carry two cans of fix-a-flat with me in all of our cars. It's saved my butt three different times now (twice in my '15 M5 comp). It doesn't work if the puncture is too sever, but it works for a lot of different kinds of punctures. I had a large (quarter sized) tear in the sidewall in a tire that would drain it of air in like 5 mins while driving and it was able to patch that up long enough for me to drive it to get a new tire. Sorry, for you bad luck!

Those fix-flats are not good for tire pressure monitor.
I take it to dealership. Don't like pushing the car when is fixed/patched tires.
For me It needs new one regardless how bad the damage is.

Haven't had a chance to wash the car in 3 weeks with all this rain. If I showed you some close ups and interior pics you would ban me from this forum.

Remind me again what the reason is that we can't have a donut? Is it the brakes?

I have a set of winter and summer wheels and plan to carry one of those large beasts in the trunk on long trips.

I miss my E38 shorty with a full size spare (m sport) in the trunk...

They have a type for tire pressure monitoring. I’ve used it three times on two different cars, never ruined my tpms. I’ll live with that risk.

Also, who said anything about pushing the car? It’s for limping it to the dealership or tire replacement place. It’s a very temporary “fix.”

I know.... there is just to many people that I know that drive the car for a while before replacing it and sometimes they forget. Lol
I know to many of them that do that.

Is my donut question just a bad question because it has been fully answered previously?

Me too. I keep the plug kit handy in my car. I have not have to use it on my car but did on the minivan. Works great. Can do with while the wheel is still on the car if you see the nail sticking out. Plug and pump it up.

And I have a jack and spare for my M5. If I go out of town the spare is in the trunk with the jack. Around town, my spare and jack are a phone call away.

Mike.

Where did you find a spare that would fit our F90? I was traveling to Dallas this weekend and thought that if I get a flat on I35 on a Sunday, I am SOL.

Vincent at Bimmerzone has been great. They were trying to get a local M5 to come by to test fit the wheel but they are 3.5 hours from me so I turned it down. They sent the wheel to my dad with plan of him checking the fitment. He was in at BMW getting his snow tires mounted so had the tech test fit front and rear. He has the 19in rims and standard brakes. It fit perfectly. It ships with two spacers. Bimmerzone has them listed now at $589.95.

I'm sticking with my summer wheel/tire or winter wheel/tire as my spare.

I'll keep the $589.95 for my tire fund. LOL.
