Kith M5 AND i4 on the way?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Kith just posted this video as a teaser to this year's collab, and if you watch closely there's a rear shot of an M5. Not sure if they'll be releasing both, but I'm sure they'll go quickly regardless.

How much are they paying customers to drive around with Kith plastered all over the car? Hell, I don't even allow dealers to place any name badging on the car. No chance I'd want a 3rd party company to do it.

Agreed! I love Kith personally, and the M4 collab looked great (not that I would ever actually get one). But that full body logo wrap is horrendous.

The different sized "M" and "5" components of the badge also make it look like someone up badged the car with an eBay emblem.

I waver on Kith in general...Ronnie will collab with any person or product he's ever had even a passing interest in. Loved the sweater from the last collab, it just didn't fit me right so I got rid of it.

But I even thought the allover embossing on the seats last time was a bit much, this is over the top.

Not the ugliest thing BMW has shown this week, though!

Weird badge for an M5, is there is a "0" behind it we can't see?!

— EDIT - yes lol, thanks LASpartan.

I stand corrected. Thank you! I thought that was a weird badge.

Also, one brief frame after my screen shot does show the "0." It was quick, so I missed it initially.

Autocrossed a couple at BMW UDEV and it was still over my head!

This makes so much more sense…I was trying to look closely for a car that looked different from the others and couldn't find it. Probably should have noticed the different sizing of the letter/number.

…knew I should have posted this in the i4 forum, guess I just though it'd be cool if they went up to the M5.

There is a Kith E30M3 Convertible (yes, a unicorn) sitting at BMW of Manhattan right now by the service department and I looked at it with my advisor. To me, it seemed to ruin the car with the embossed seating and the KITH instead of BMW on the rear badge. I think the car has 160 miles on it or something crazy low.

OK false alarm folks, the wrap was just a promo…the real one is the green one at the end of the video. And there's only 7 of them.

Never heard of Kith. What is it and why is it important?

My Google search on Kith turned up a bunch of ugly vehicles, but I still don’t get what/who Kith is.

Kith is a lifestyle/apparel brand that has collaborated with many various companies and entities across numerous sectors, including BMW, previously. They produced a line of apparel and lifestyle products for BMW and M, including a lot of heritage style and M products. Think t shirts, hoodies, keychains, umbrellas, pillows, etc., all bearing the company's take on the classic roundel and heritage M logos. The partnership went as far as to produce a limited edition of 150 Kith G82 M4s.

(Perhaps one of the ugly cars you're seeing &#128514.

Here's my favorite piece from the collection. It is awesome, and I get so many questions and comments on it, especially at car events. Check out the back:

Man, if I could get that shirt with just the M logo on the front instead of Kith, I'd be all over it. LOVE the bluf on the back — absolutely awesome and would wear that proudly!

The guy who started Kith, Ronnie Fieg, made his name in the early 2010s doing sneaker collaborations with ASICS and New Balance. Then opened Kith. Starting making clothes. But he’s still ultimately known for his collab kicks.

That would be cool, but they do either insert the Kith logo with the M striping, or in the case of rounded logo items, swap out the "B M W" lettering for "K I T H."

Here's a great example of another piece I have.
