I only drive paved roads. No F90's were injured in the creation of this thread.

I will not drive on gravel far
I will not do that to my car

Occasionally there's gravel on the side of the road when you pull over. Occasionally there's some gravel in a parking lot or campgrounds or waysides - but this is only taken at 5 mph.

I had to back up about 20 feet one time on a gravel road to get a couple of shots once.

Its all good

If you haven't tried those, I recommend. Some of the best roads I've ever driven.
Yup. All great roads. Have you tried Century Drive (Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway)? Head out of Bend toward Mt. Bachelor and then loop down past Elk Lake, Cultus Lake, Crane Prairie Reservoir & Devils Lake. Very Nice.
Been to Mt. Bachelor but not the full loop. It was still closed for snow when I was there. On the list for next time.

Have fun.

Post pics!!
One way, actually. Moving from NYC to Seattle. Will likely head through Pittsburgh, Chicago, Omaha, and Denver before getting off interstates and heading up through Utah via Moab, SLC (where I'll visit my parents), and then up through Idaho, Oregon, and ultimately Washington. Can't do too many detours, unfortunately, as I'll have my dog with me and my wife will be waiting in Seattle. Will definitely post pics.

Another fantastic post! Thanks for sharing. From emotional to exciting experiences! Watching the thread I just want to be there with you guys! No other thing comes to my mind. How you sort out the A/C issue? After the rear blow thing coming up and down did you sorted during the trip or after?

Thanks. You probably would have enjoyed it. Not the Alps, mind you, but still fun. The A/C never blew anymore cold air, but it worked a little bit. It wasn't a super hot time of year. We made it home. Then had the compressor and condenser replaced. Worked ok for the rest of the time I owned the car. The M850 A/C is the best I've ever had on a BMW.
