Dead battery

My F90's Li-ion 30 battery is dead and I'm wondering if there's anyway to recharge it using a ctek charger or something. I'm really bummed about this as the battery costs around 2k

How old is the car/battery? What caused the battery to fail?

Just plug in a 12v li-ion compatible charger to the terminals in the engine bay. I use a Noco Genius 3500. Works a treat. See if that works first.

It must be a Lithium-compatible charger.

I just bought the BMW one. I know, I know, it’s basically just a rebranded CTEK charger that BMW plastered their name on, but it gives me peace of mind, that I know it will work for my car. I got mine for like $125. It’s normally $150. Think I even ordered it off Amazon. Get it, switch it over to the “Lithium car” setting, and make sure to plug it up right, and hopefully that will set you straight. Couldn’t hurt to try it, if you’re about to have to shell out a couple thou if it doesn’t work.

To confirm, is this the part number for the BMW trickle charger that you bought: 61-43-2-408-594 ? Thanks!

I think there's a reset button on CTEK chargers. I think pressing that will help "restart" your battery and get it charging again.

Yep! That’s the one! And, it’s also the same one you will see on BMW’s own site, if you look it up on there.

Thank you - there's conflicting info online as to whether this charger works with the F90, so appreciate your confirming that it does!
