Just got an M5C

Just picked up my car this morning. Going to take it easy for the first 1200 miles so won't have much to say until then. But I think it may be the most complete car there is. I looked at a lot and the M5 as a daily is incredible.

Congrats Jo!

Good idea to follow the before-1200 mile directions, kudos! Let us know what you think when you’re ready.

Same here bro - according to the schedule, and from what I’ve tracked, the ship (Victoria Highway) is supposed to be in the port of Brunswick GA later today. Hopefully, it’ll make its way to Orlando next week - just before my wife and I go on a Caribbean cruise for a week...

Few observations:

1. the transmission can be a little clunky at lower speeds
2. It's quite rapid and will break 100 mph easily never exceeding half throttle
3. The engine must generate a lot of heat because the fans blow like crazy when the car turns off

Another observation is that the exhaust sounds great on the competition! When started in sport plus it's very loud.

I agree on the transmission being clunky and jerky at slow speeds.....especially when you take your foot off the throttle to brake then your move your foot back to the accelerator to gently accelerate off while vehicle is still in motion, you get the feel like the transmission is disconnected then suddenly connected and your car jerks forward albeit violently.....

Observation #4 after a week of ownership:

The trunk space is tremendous I can't believe how deep it is.

Congrats on the beautiful car. Agree with the heat comment, as this car has the most post-shut-down fan activity of any car I ever had...they run even on a cool day after just a mellow 3-minute trip to the store. Not a gripe at all, but it does make me want to know a little more.

Nice color choice. Our cars are almost twins!
It’s extremely fast. Once you can go full throttle you will be amazed. With the loud exhaust disabled and if you have michelins it’s practically silent when cursing. I was riding in my friends model three and at 30-40 mph speeds that car is louder. The gunshot exhaust is fun. I almost scared some girl off her bike the other day. I didn’t mean to, but I got up into the 5k range in 1st and had to let off abruptly. Oooops...

Enjoy the car, it’s awesome!
