Im still waiting for the tuner to get back to me, he requested more logs so i sent him more, he said it looked like the fuel quality might be at play here.. Hopefully i will figure this out soon. As for the person who asked if i ran 6.4 on stock lol no. It was the custom tune by HCP. That tune makes big power, but then again like i mentioned before my car sucks ass on the Launch (yet to figure out why besides the fact that my car seems to go higher rpms before shifting) but moves on the top end.
Heres the log where the car knocked last:

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6157...90c67cf114beb8

Edit: did more logs, again 0 knocks on WOT, also she is moving sooooo hard with octanium, i can feel the kick is harder. Did 6.2 60-130 came back invalid though :/

Good to hear this, your making me want to run the E30/40 stage 2 file lol

I forget how many gallons of E85 I was putting in when I attempted to run the stage 1 E30 file, I think its 7 gallons per fill up.

(WITH ANY MAP, EVEN STOCK) during normal drive around and when the car launches, soon as you put the car in 3rd gear and do a pull across all RPM ranges with WOT shows 0 knocks... So i decided to go buy Octanium that increases the octane level, i added it on top of Shell 93 Octane. Did few normal drive arounds without pushing the car while logging it, guess what? knocks!. Decided to do a WOT at 2nd gear and pushed the car from 40 to 140mph ( pulled 6.49 60-130, Power of Octanium???) and again 0 knocks detected. I am so puzzled right now... these knocks are starting scare me, im actually considering go back to full stock and putting the oem cats back.

brad65ford could you do a log on your normal drive around? To See if it knocks? I had to do 2-3 minute logs to see it.
DB_BMW this could also mean related to your fuel, spark plugs and/or your rom software is more sensitive to knock.

Sent you PM

Does anybody here have a stock file log? I got my car now (2018 M5, 45k km, fresh out of service - new oil, plugs, fully loaded w. CCB) and it pulls only 8.9s 60-130 / 7.7s 100-200. This is a bit slow it seems to me. All at just 13c (55f), 122m (530ft) DA & 75% humidity.
Here is a log and another. Seems to me that the AFR in second is crazy high up top, the boost not hitting the target.
Car is in warranty so want to fix things up first before any tuning in future possibly.

if this is a stock file your AFR and boost look OK, your timing in lower gears is off.

Thanks! This is indeed stock file. On afr it looked odd to me that you'd keep 14.6 to the redline in 3rd - then level off at 11.5-12 in 4th and grow to 12.6 in 5th. I'm used to gradual decline to say mid 12s at redline across all gears when tuned. 14.5 at redline seem way to lean?

On timing - do you mean the overall timing correction or individual cylinder corrections? To me the former (overall) is not good, the individual while not clean is not too bad. Thanks!

AFR is not linear in DI like it was in PFI. The AFT numbers you posted are reasonable.

This is how f90 M5 AFR looks, gradual richening.
You timing at end of 5th looked close to normal, your timing in 3rd and 4th is where you're losing power in that particular log file.

thanks! I mean it doesn't make sense to me (the AFR thing) - esp given that even OTS maps I saw in this thread use similar AFR in each gear but if its what it is, its what it is .

I did a new log today. I did reset adaptations to see if this would help things (maybe somebody wasn't running best gas in it before I don't know ). From launch it did 3.4 0-100 & 7.4 100-200 (log here); so what I'd expect, but rolling 100-200 was again 7.5-7.8 (logs here, here). The logs show much lower boost but higher timing. My worry is that this is also in almost ideal setting - 40% fuel, 1 person, 12C, 10m DA only.

Also logged like 30 mins of driving around (log here) - part throttle most of the time. There are some knocks here when one gets on part throttle and timing corrections of up to -7.5 which I don't like. But its part throttle and when going WOT there are no knocks.

Question is - should I get the car looked at before I try any tuning? To exercise any warranty. Does this look like something mechanically wrong? Or is it just base file doing something weird which will get fixed up when flashing proper map?
THANKS!

I have been having issues with running any ethanol. Had to replace lpfp twice within the last 30 days. I was running custom tune with timing close to 20 but with bm3 ots stg2 93 timing stays around 10-11. Wanted to ask if that is normal as I have always ran e40 in the past. Also it’s been close to 100f so assuming that contributing to low timing as well.
