It took exactly 7 days for me to go from that stage to In Transit, so if there's consistency, it should move fast.

My October 19th order seems to me moving pretty fast as well.... it was production begins for about a week and a half it skipped up to in the paint booth now..I'm happy with the progress... This will be my first BMW. Especially anything with this kind of performance as my current daily driver is a Ford Explorer. At this point still hoping for a first of the year delivery date.

My car is already "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" … spent 1 Day in "Quality Check".

No rhyme or reason as to why some cars stay in Quality Check for weeks and some, like mine, move right through it.

Well... as the name would imply... if your car has no issues it moves through, if you have a dent in a fender from someone bumping a parts cart into the side of your car or if you have a squeaking noise in the suspension when they take it on the test drive you can imagine it'll have to get fixed...

Yup, that's what it has traditionally been … with all of the supply chain disruption right now cars are sitting much longer than normal in this stage and BMW provides little to no information as to what the hold up is.

Good friend had an M5C in QC for 60 days.

Point is know one "really" knows how long car will sit in QC right now or the exact reason why.

Well, the car is off the coast of Africa, headed towards Panama. If anyone is interested, I found a handy app that can track the location of apparently any vessel. Kinda creepy, too.

MarineTraffic. Has good info in addition to status of any given ship, like average days at port for various ports, port congestion, etc. I'm glad BMW used Hueneme rather than LA!

Mine is aboard the Sirius Highway on its way to the Port of Galveston. Est arrival 12/8 then who knows how long it will be there.

Namelss When my car arrived at the port of Galveston on a Friday, I believe it was there about four or five days including the weekend.
