Silverstone leather - easy to maintain, holding up well
4000 miles on the car, 100 hours spent in the car seat so far according to the trip computer.
No wrinkles, no smudges, looks like new. Only wiped it once with a damp microfiber. It feels to me like this Merino is thicker and stronger than in my 5 series. If you don't drive kids or pets the Silverstone is really a trouble free leather. |

But I'm still considering the color. The only other option for me is black since I don't like red interiors (and SB isn't much better than SS in this regard, but prefer the look of SS). I currently have black leather, you can't go wrong with it, but it's a little bit too boring. At least, the F8x have contrast stiching on black, so there's at last one more advantage (but still not as good looking as SS). |

I want SS interior (to match my SS exterior order), but worry about jeans turning the seats blue. I changed my order to full black after reading stories of color transfer on SS. |

Four week ED road trip with 2 kids (3½ and 6 months), 5000km travelled. Plenty of snacks eaten in the back seat. While there were quite a few crumbs to pick up, the Silverstone leather was pristine without any stains. Quite happy . |

I have been saying this since DAY ONE. I had Oyster Nappa and it is very similar to Silverstone Marino. It is NOT a pain to clean. It's light leather, so it will need some care, but it is not horrific. After 40k miles and with kids literally stepping on it to get in, if you like this interior GET IT.

Same for me as well.
I’m not sure if this Permaplate stuff the Dealer threw in is helping, but after 2 months and multiple arse’s in the SS seats, Blue Jean or otherwise, hasn’t left any discernable trace of discoloration. |

I've had black, gray, brown, and red interiors. Ready for something different, again. The beige on the F8x is well-executed in that the seating surfaces and accents are the only beige bits. If we were discussing the beige-swathed interiors of the series cars (incl. carpets, door panels, etc.), I'd have to agree with you.
