M5 to M5C conversion, doable? Done? Who?

Just curious,
Has anyone here on this forum or elsewhere done a complete conversion of a Regular M5 to M5C?!

Besides wheels (Which I actually don't like)

What else?
-Anti Roll Bars
-Engine mounts
-Stiffer suspension? What's that?
Would KW HAS take care of height as good?

What am I missing ?

Thanks

There was another thread that decided it wasn't worth it. Chip + suspension (like kw has) will be less expensive and get you better performance than CP

I certainly hope so!
I watched a review recently that broke my heart saying the M5 is a nice GT car while M5C is the real M5 of sorts

I have never driven M5C so don't know how much if that was hyperbole and how much was real? I am sure it's better, but "Totally two different cars!!!" is that a stretch or take it to the bank?

They are not two entirely different vehicles...

Well, theoretically speaking...

Technically speaking, they would have different skus lol...

The steering is much tighter and more responsive in the M5C and it gives the car a completely different feel.

There's a review of the M5 where the reviewer jerks the wheel back and forth a bit to illustrate that the steering, even in sport plus, is not as sensitive as he would like. You cannot jerk the wheel like that in the M5C, it would be all over the road. It's so responsive it's just short of twitchy.

That's by far the biggest difference to me and in my opinion it really does elevate the car to supercar feel.

Driven both models a day apart, two different cars, period.
I'll elaborate this one last time
M5C =Hard core sports car feel, not ideal for Touring but comfortable nevertheless-smooth roads are Heaven, rough ones, hell.
M5 = Suspension tuned for comfort and everyday drivability.

I just want to know where I can get the competition mirror caps. Don't really want to wrap it.

They are just a solid black mirror cap. Any BMW dealer should be able to order them through their parts dept.

The base M5 feels so tight and concise it's hard to imagine the M5C being comfortable. After all, the point of the M5 is versatility.

I had checked the parts no. on realoem and it seems that only rear suspension is different (springs, shock absorbers, anti-rollbar and one rocker arm.). The front suspension has the same part no. like regular M5. About the sterring i think that the different is in soft (same story like front susp.) Maybe i'm wrong.

I drove both and preferred and bought none comp, thought the comp was to hard a ride for me personally, none comp still has that throw you back in your seat boost but does it with the feel of being sat in your arm chair I am nearly 50 though

So, my takeaway was that its better suited for someone that spends more time tracking the car unlike myself. Actually made me feel better about not spending the extra money for the comp since its my year round dd/family hauler and I probably wont ever take it to a track.

Like many, I drove both. Had a deposit on a Comp. Switched to a non-comp after thinking through what I would be changing on the car over time. Both great cars. Not enough difference for me to pay a tad more for things I would change anyway.

While I wish you were right
But there are things that regardless what you do and how much you spend on it up to 20k-30k, still won't get close to Com handling IMHO, not talking speed because we all know RC takes them both to 750 horse power and JB4 even more with more potential! But steering ya can't even touch!

I agree. The handling on the Competition is just so different. The ride may be slightly harsher over the occasional expansion joint but that is a trade I will gladly make for the instant on handling. Feels like a much smaller car with a monster under the hood.
