Looks a bit too F&F for me ... I can see the appeal though I suppose

Looks OK. Just doesn't look like the car I'd go to a business meeting in. Very "out there".
It has certainly lost some elegance. But I don't think that's exclusively to BMW. Things are louder, more aggressive as of late.

That's an improvement to me.
I keep saying my issue isn't the huge kidneys but the fact the "mouth" underneath them now should just not be there. Blacking it out hides it well. The G8x should be two kidneys and two side intake/vents. No center lower mouth under the grille. Rough sketch of my idea |

Should the outline of the grille also be black in the spots where it meets the wrap? I can't decide if that would look better or not lol I do think the 'mouth' part is going to look better in real life...the grille actually has some curve to it and tucks into the back of the mouth and you can't really see that in a lot of these pics we have. Also it seems like the grille starts lower on the front end than most people realize because the hood is sloped pretty aggressively downwards but most of the pics were getting are from a snails perspective haha

Saw this car in person, and in daylight which I don't think many in the public have had the opportunity to see it outside of a tent in bright sunlight, and man these things look absolutely different from pictures. I despised this grill when it was unveiled officially, and especially in SPY that first leaked image just does not seem real at this point. It was to the point that my negative comments do not allow me to even be able to post in the general G80 forum .
After seeing these in person (IOMG M3 and SPY M4) , I do not think the aftermarket grill / grill accessories business will be as lucrative as many may think , this car in sunlight is incredible, and every person around me I could hear saying they "actually like the grills". It is very hard to capture the front end of this vehicle in pictures. A photographer that can capture the vehicle in person will be more successful than a grill manufacturer. |

I’m starting to like it but def huge f&f vibes which in your mid 30s is meh. It’s like look at me guys I drive an expense bimmer all over it. I need to see it in person but after considering the m2 cs, I think I’ll pay off my 18 f80 in 2 years to keep the car for good and then look at a gt4 or next gen g87 m2
