So I just picked up my 3 year old daughter from ballet class. We pulled up to a stoplight and some Ass Clown in a Kia 900 V8 starts revving his engine and looking over at me to challenging me to race. (ok a 420hp HP that sounds like my electric toothbrush)

WTF... I burst out laughing. Whatever, I pulled away from the green normally, still laughing my daughter asked what was so funny, I told her the clown in the next car thought he was faster than us - she started laughing her ass off too and said "Daddy your car is super fast"

God I hope I see this clown again so I can give him a proper smoke show.

A flat billed guy in a fart canned civic type r pulled next to me in the GT2RS last week and started revving. I busted out laughing so hard that I didn't even see the green light turning. He floored it and there was a cop parked a hundy yards away and lit him up immediately. I almost got pulled over cause I was laughing so hard. Insecurity is a cruel mistress.

It doesn't matter what I'm driving, I can't think of any reason to racing randoms on a public road, any more than I feel the need to compare sizes in public urinals.

Totally agree, a Civic type "R" tried to tempt me yesterday I smiled and let him rip the arse out of his car.

Usually I just get thumbs up and "roll down your window" discussions at red lights from boy racers and the like. They are car guys and seem to know better. I'm more likely to get challenged by pick-up drivers with loud exhausts who are clueless about German cars in general (I would assume). Fortunately it takes almost no effort to put distance between us and provide a little education -before I even have to exceed the speed limit.

Agreed. I guess the guy was trying to make himself feel better about buying a crappy KIA? Funny thing he was in his 60's.

Heh, I guess I'm unbelievably juvenile then. Hey ho...

In public urinals, I've often mentioned my surprise to my neighbors that they shake theirs, pointing out that I've found kicking mine to be more effective.
