Haha. I guess we disagree but I find this generation's exterior design boring.

Just goes to show how subjective styling is.

I personally find the M5 to be extremely attractive. The E-class has that melting soap bar look to me and is more reserved. The M5 looks very sporty in comparison.

Even look at the base models of each. A 530 looks way sportier than an E300.

Third video showing girl parking like shit then walking out leaving car running

I guess this is why BMW ///M doesn't build a super/halo car.

Don't know about you but to me M5 is masculine while Mercedes is the opposite...

To be honest neither is masculine in my opinion. The M5 May be a hell of a performer but the lines are pretty boring. Needs bigger hips. Well, in my humble opinion.

Edit: I did sit in an M5 and the interior is great. Loved everything about it. Was comfortable, attractive, etc.

M5 jumped a little and 127mph is at high side.

NSX should've launched way better than this.

E63s' result is legit.

It's the Competition - not the standard M5. I have run 129.5 MPH with mine.

I agree, he is unable to do a proper launch most of the time it seems.

I think slowly but surely they're doing that as we speak. Notice how all the new exhaust notes actually sound how they should've been from the beginning.

Lordy...the new M5 comp is just insane. Period. Possibly the best all around hot rod 4 door ever (IMO). I have an M3 CS. The fiver was just too big for my taste. But I say again... LORDY!!!

That fuken M5 is just plain sick. I haven't seen it lose a single race yet and I suspect it will never. What the guy says at the beginning is so true too, we're living in a world where a sedan is faster than a super car.

The AMG hits 60 in stock form reliably in 3.0 secs dead; I tested it repeatedly. Tuned, I got a 2.85 run to 60 and a 10.8 1/4 mile.

While I never ran my two cars side-by-side, the now-cimmonplace numbers on the M5 lead me to believe that, on a track, it'll win in most orchestrated races. On the street, though, red-light launches are very likely to go the AMG's way. Here's why: you can launch the AMG from just about any mode in any setup every time and time after time. There's no prep; no restrictions; no cool down. Just slam the brake and the gas and release the brake. My M5 won't let me launch back-to-back like that.

You can even get the AMG into launch mode from idle in about a half second so you really don't need to look like an utter pleb doing the racestart RPM bounce. I once launched my AMG 11 successive times from light-to-light in say a 5 minute span and it showed no signs of stopping. The same minivan ended up being next to me for about 6 of them and I've rarely felt so shamed by a 30 or so year old Mother giving me scathing looks--so I activated drift mode and launched again with massive tire screech (I actually lost to the minivan on that launch).

All of that said, I'd still take my M5 over the AMG any day and everyday.

just curious, why?

Also, the c63, with the same motor should be quicker?

The M5 is a better all around driver's car; there's more attention to driving feel than the more circus-focused AMG. They're both awesome cars but were I forced to choose, I'd take the M5 without blinking. It's very much a subjective thing.

The C63 isn't the same engine as the E63.

Same engine block aka M177, different turbos. The E63s gets the twin scroll setup while the C gets the single. The HP disparity is there.

I ran some acceleration runs in my NSX yesterday. Here's the best I could manage:

0-60 mph in 3.04 seconds
0-100 mph in 7.34 seconds
1/8 mile 7.23 seconds at 99.41 mph
1/4 mile 11.18 seconds at 124.65 mph.

1.78 s to 60 ft. Slope was -.87%. Temp was 60 degrees F.

Pittsburgh roads are absolutely terrible so I was spinning slightly off the line. I have zero mods and the 5P tire the car comes with. I'm going to start mods in a month or so with some new tires and a fabspeed exhaust/sports cats.

Great data! And I would say about right...the NSX is still quick and I am interested to see what happens with the mods (Vic too I’m sure)...
