It is not guaranteed.
I would depends on how many cells of catalytic that is being used. Quality brand would come second.
A good performance catted downpipe, usually used 200 cells, which is not guaranteed CEL.
I believe 400 cells, will not trigger CEL.
But hard to say since the emission standard is getting stricter.

I bought fi primary and secondary with 100 cell I both upper and lower. 2600 primary 800 secondary. They also have a 200 cell primary. Delivery was 3 days from time of purchase. Armytrix makes a 200 cell. Ipe makes a 200 cell one piece. Supersprint makes a 200 one piece and g-power makes a 200 one piece, both quite expensive though.

Tuesday and ssr performance u interested in how they'll sound? I am. If I don't have my rpm button switched to 3, than it drones hardcore what I'm at low rpms. That, and the tone of the exhaust sounds gross.. looking forward to being able to drive in eco mode, although I doubt I ever will. Still, it'll help with the backfiring and burbling. I drove by a cop the other day and when my car shifted, it let out an unexpected loud POP, startling him, and letting him know this guys catless. lol catless On v8 is a hole different beast than an m3. I'll get u a 'before n after' video on Wed if ur interested.

Alright so I installed the 100 cell fi. I wish I knew Evolution Racewerks were coming out with some at a fraction of the cost that same week, but shoulda woulda coulda. So it's a catted primary, and race secondary. I was under the impression that the secondary had a 100 cell cat also, but I was wrong. The 100 cell cat is surprisingly a lot quieter than I thought it would be, glad I didn't go 200 cell. It's still loud when I'm on it but it doesn't idle loud or isn't super throaty when driving at low speeds anymore. Still has a tiny bit of drone but the way less pronounced and doesn't amplify like it did. Way better. The tone is more refined now and overall I think I made a good decision.

What is that last picture ? Looks like a mini cat 02 sample tube for the 02 sensor in the primary cat.

Last picture is the built-in extended secondary O2 sensor bung with mini-cat in it.
I hope it works well. I have seen O2 extension and MiniCat causing "O2 sensor slow response" error message.

Evolution racewerks are $1200 cheaper compared to their competitors. Fred and the crew does good work. I had all there stuff on all of my bmws. $2500 for a dp is just insane to me.

Using 3D technology we developed an enlarged smooth 3.5 inch tubing for our catted downpipes to eliminate as much back pressure as possible and integrated it with HJS Hyperflow 200CEL cats from Germany, those are pricey but the best performing cats in the world

HJS cats alone are $900, obviously it’s easier to copy someones product, spend $0 on development, mass produce it in Taiwan and use cheap $100 cats. But we are hiring more staff, buying more metal as we’re growing and will be cutting costs soon, everyone who dealt with our product can confirm top quality, performance, and fitment as we 3D model all of our products off the car, and use expensive machinery, professional staff, and high quality materials for manufacturing.
