A White Christmas at HG Motorsports! The Start of our F80 M3 Build
Say "Hello" to the new HG Motorsports F80 M3. We have just taken delivery of our M3 from BMW of El Cajon. Thank you Nick Owen, Brandon Watson, Chuck Thomas, and Jorge Suazo for the great service! Here are the specs: Alpine White Cloth Seats Adaptive M Suspension 19 inch Black 437M wheels 6 Speed Manual We have been heavily invested in development for the Mercedes-Benz A platform, developing our own intake, exhaust, intercooler, and engine damper for both CLA250 and CLA45. We are also proud to say that we have cracked the ECU and have successfully tuned our CLA45. However now, we are extremely excited to be coming back to Bimmerpost and the F80/2 platforms. As of this week, we have cracked the ECU's on the M3/M4 as well as the F10 M5. We are now in the tuning stage. We will focus on power and reliability, as we feel that the community will benefit from a stable ECU tune to build from. For our M3, we have a few things planned to start things off: HRE's KW H.A.S. kit Vorsteiner lip and diffuser HG Motorsports ECU tune HG Motorsports exhaust and downpipe (in development) We have a few options with the HRE's, which we are open to suggestions. We have narrowed it down to these: We will be updating this thread with our developments and changes, as we dyno the car and the parts begin to arrive! Thanks for looking! Honestly I think the first set of HRE's would look bad ass. I like the other two sets, but they are relatively common (for good reason they look sweet).
Looking forward to your progress!

Update:
We dynoed the M3 last Friday, and to no surprise, got some very very strong numbers. The DynoDynamics "Heartbreak Mode" numbers were 356.4, 356.5, and 356.6 Interesting to note that two of those pulls were done back to back, with no cool-down period whatsoever. |

We have indeed gotten into the ECU and successfully done our preliminary beta tuning. Good results so far, and we will shed more light on that once we feel confident that we've worked out all the bugs.
We have video of the first dyno run of it, and I will see what I can do about sharing that with you all on here. |

Congrats Gents! Look forward to seeing this project come to fruition. Something about the first set of wheels on a F80 has me very intrigued
