Repainted 706m Wheels

Been searching the forums and online and I just can't find anyone that actually have changed the colour on the 706m wheels?

Does anyone have any pics of a different colour than just black or black/silver?

I have the same wheels. Got a quote to powder coat them black for $850 but I’m on the fence. I like the two-tone but can’t decide. People I talk to are 50/50. Some like as is, some agree to change. Just personal preference I guess

I drove a white M5 with your wheels in gloss black and it looked great, I have gloss black 863M’s on my Singapore M5C and they also work really well, body colour and things like exterior carbon pack really makes an difference as to whether all black wheels work or not imo.

Just get some vinyl and play. Gold on mine to pull out CCB calipers. Find something you like then go for paint.

Please do. Did you hit the whole wheel or just the brushed spoke parts?

If you want black wheels why not just trade someone for the black painted version?

I don't want black wheels😂

Read the thread again, I'm going to change the colour overall of them. No black here!

Did you end up powder coating these black? If so, how'd they come out

So here they are, freshly from the oven 😀

Will post more pics when they are on the car, but that will take a month at least, these are for summer.

Just had my 706M's powercoated. "Ultra Charcoal" in high gloss. (PMB-5531)
http://www.prismaticpowders.com is the supplier.

Aside from the poor resolution, I agree with Velon's above post on how wheels shift in color in different light. That very point made it tricky to select the right color IMO. Just mounting the wheels on tires seemed to shift the color somewhat (darker in the spokes).

Once I get the wheels on next month, I'll get a better idea and forward pics. Not completely sold on the color at this point.

Apologies for reviving and old thread but do you have pics of these on your car. I love the color.

Thanks.
