Cool. Let me know where - I will trailer my car there. We can video the results. Please don’t punk out after all of your chirping. Edit: to ensure you don’t punk out - and since I am coming to you - we can use an Admin here to hold 5K from each of us - so that when you don’t show with your imaginary car - I have something to show for it. Indeed. Can’t wait to see his UGR TT setup in person at the 1/4 mile track of his choosing...as long as he submits his 5K to show...since he’s such a baller trying to make fun of the M550ix - I’m sure he has a serious build...

I don't worry about people like our friendly Forza Troll and who he might influence - now that he was put in his place - he will hopefully go back to his cave - stick with his Forza account and dream... |

I am coming from a 2015 FBO GTR w/ e85 615whp. Should be getting my f90 m5 early next week. Then I can finally compare the power of both cars. Obviously the f90's technology and comfort alone will make it a better overall car for a daily.

My point - and this is my thread - was specifically to show how far we have come where a purpose built supercar is now being beaten or pushed by a 4500 lb, 16 ft, four door luxury GT car. And to debate which is ultimately quicker and faster is dumb as they were never meant to compete. |

Jesus Christ the R35 came out 10 yrs ago, a little respect for the platform would do a lot of you some good. Bmw needed three new platform generations of m5s to beat a 10yr old platform Nissan GT-R. Wow what an accomplishment, that deserves more threads! What's fair is R36 vs f90 |

I was replying to people who had already started the comparison. I agree that they are in different classes. And I love f10m5 and f90m5 I eagerly look forward to what's to come with the first awd m5. |

Sorry this is off-topic, but have you dailied your gtr? Just curious how livable it is on the day-to-day.
I'm considering getting rid of my f10 535 and e92 m3 and getting a fun car that i can daily drive. At the present time, getting an f90 m5 wouldn't be too responsible in my opinion and since i always liked the r35 i'm gathering opinions. Also going to test drive an m550 this weekend so that is an option as well. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. |

The GTR is somewhat unique in the way that it can be highly modified and still drive like stock. My GTR is over 1600 whp - but if I took you for a drive you would be hard pressed to detect anything at all. It shifts better than stock (more on that later) - and is really no louder. Under acceleration - that changes violently lol. Now - for a stock GTR. The newer DBA cars are much better than my CBA R35 was (CBA was from MY2009-11). SO there is refinement. That said - it is still a clunky, noisy, and irritable car that only likes to go fast. Around town it just isn't smooth. Suspension is also always hard. Now the latest GTR's are much softer - too soft some would say as they perform worse around a road course than my 2010. Power is okay - 0-1/4 mile is solid (low 11 at 125 MPH). Mid-top end is lousy. As a daily - and not modifying the car - I would go M550ix. It's new tech - runs 12.1 and is the most amazing suspension on a non-air suspension car I have every had. GTR platform is very old now - it was introduced in 2007. I hope that helped - Good luck! |
