I have a question. I have installed the LCI tail lights and everything works, but when i unlock the car and WELCOME LIGHTS turn on, the rear tail lights outter ones does not. Is that a problem with SOFT ON mode ? Can i code it to turn HARD ON on the rear lights ?

i shall be getting my LCI rears fitted by a coder over here in the uk, we are just waiting on gutter trims, ill post up pics once done.

mine was done other day, i had Bavarian coding do it for me on my june 19 car, worthwhile mod and works great with dark colour on car

Yeah, I've done that, too. Four tail lamps, two types of gutter finishers, two wires from tail lamps to body modules.And if you have a genuine terminal and an Esys to connect that wiring to the module, you can finish the job neatly.

Wow this is amazing, knowing how much BMW sells theirs lights for. This is going to be an easy 5k mod but it looks so good!

no cost me £1100 pounds supplied, including fitting and and all wiring/coding. bargain. So i guess thats around 1500-1600 dollars there

What level of interior trim does Simon need to strip out on this as im still on the fence please?

Everyone that thinks about getting this retrofitted can just wait - BMW was supposed to start selling retrofit kits in mid december, guess a bit delayed but it comes as whole kit and you can find installation instructions in ista

I switched to LCI end of November 2020.
My BMW dealer informed me about coding issues before.
The system will randomly show 2 failure messages: "Rear brake light left/right out of service".

However, the lights are both working fine, it´s a known issue and will be fixed soon.

just the carpet along edge of interior and over rear wheel arch, perfect neat job you would never know. do it its a great mod for pre lci, freshens car up

Thanks and that's good to hear. Simon has worked on my card before but just waiting on the warranty to run out this year then im on it!

Although just seen another comment in this thread about BWM retrofit services. I know they were not doing it in early December as I made a few calls to a few contacts but might need to try this again.

yeah i read comment about retro fit via bmw...cant see that ever happening, they never have in past and they wont want LCi lights added onto older cars that have a mix of old front lights and new rear, their design/branding teams surely wouldnt allow that, plus they want people to buy LCI models not bodge together one with various parts? i just dunno
