Agree completely. First and foremost, good thing your friend is ok and walked away from this, that's what's most important. Secondly, the title of post is not just misleading, it's wrong. And third, the moderators of this forum should take this post down, it shouldn't be front and center on the news inviting every member to take a look and crack jokes based on an incorrect title, when obviously this was a scary day for this M5 owner.

Looking at the pictures, I believe the current theory that another vehicle hit his rear driver side, causing him to lose control. Hitting a pole would not cause the rear door, let alone the glass, to have that much damage. Sadly, it was a new car. Fortunately, it was just a new car.

Glad the guy is ok! I'm sure he will get another one soon. A lot of people assume that performance car guys are always in the wrong but I can assure you that most can handle a car. It's the people riding the 3rd/fast lane doing 5-10 believe speed limit that piss me off.
