Wrap it up!

So my new (to me) 235 had the Fineline wood trim with the red leather interior. To my eye it never looked right. I bought a trim set from another member here in brushed silver and it was a big improvement. I had wanted to try my hand at vinyl wrap so I thought I'd give it a go. I watched a bunch of youtube videos and it didn't look too hard. I was going to do carbon fiber look so I decided to go with 3M di noc. This is supposed to be the best stuff you can get. The look is matte finish with a good 3D presentation.

Now di noc is somewhat harder than most to work with according to the web experts, and the pieces on our trim are pretty complicated with lots of compound curves. My first piece using a hair dryer was a complete failure. Off to Harbor Freight for a real heat gun and things got a lot easier. I'm pretty happy with the results. We'll see how it holds up.
