Michelin PS4 Air Pressure?
I've got the 20" Michelin PS4s on my F90. I received a notice in the car about the tire pressure being low in the tires. The car tells me the tire pressure should be 36/37. The interior of the door tells me the tire pressure should be 32/33. The current tire pressure is 31/32 tested with external tire pressure guage.
I figured they were close enough and didn't add another pound, but the car telling me they should be 36/37 is throwing me off when the driver's side interior door pillar says 32/33. Any thoughts on what they should actually be or recommended pressure settings? Thanks in advance for helping out with this oddity!

Thats probably because the pressure monitor system noticed that the tire pressure is too low for whats it been set for. Set the tire pressure as the sticker says and then reset the monitor system. |

IIUC the idrive recommended tyre pressure goes up and down taking into account the temperature of the tyres (or ambient or both?).
I generally have to add pressure in the winter to offset lower temps in the UK...likely less of an issue in SoCal though. |

Does the TPM know what the door sticker or owners manual says? Or just when pressure drops below what the tires had when it was reset or there is a side to side variation?
I have only 10k miles of driving experience with my F90, but I found over many times that mileage in my E90 M3 and E61 535xi that inflating to the specified pressure resulted in wear in the center of the rear tires. That is a common sign of over inflation. So after prematurely wearing a few sets of tires, I began reducing pressure a few psi. |

For track driving, pressure can first be set to between 29-32, when tire is warmed up pressure will be around 36-39, then need to reduce to 32-33 again for better traction.

I rarely have any passengers in the car. I'll give them a little bump with winter coming and see how it likes it. Cheers.
