Im not sure what more I can do here... I guess some carbon bits?

After more seat time I will update some thoughts:

1. The car is unique with the paint and I love the changes in the color based on the outdoor lighting (sun vs none).

2. The rear of the car is just a bit underwhelming and is placed higher. Id like to possibly change the oem diffuser to something more aggressive.

3. I love this car in MDM Sport and DSC off mode; it pulls for days.

4. The insulation in the car is too good- I need more exhaust noise than even what the M Sport version provides. Time to go aftermarket. But Ive been told it sounds very nice on the outside.

5. The A/C on this fucker is great. I only need fan level 1 most of the time but I did close the rear vents which gives me more front air.

6. With all the power, I still want more because the car has such good grip and control at speed. I have driven this car hard since day 1 and it continues to impress.

7. Im not sure if Im gonna swap the H&R's to KW's. I like the current set up from a function perspective. The compression and rebound of the EDC actually feels tighter with the improved spring rates but the height could be lower. I like the car at 130+ with the H&R's than with the stockies. I only drive the car in Sport Plus from a damper setting as an FYI.

8. Unlike my two tuned F10 M5's and tuned F13 M6- the cooling on this car is better. I do relatively the same high speed routes and the car has not exhibited any heat soak; the weather here has been hotter as of late too.

I love the fluidity of this car- smooth bullet train.

I noticed the fan stays on a lot longer and louder than the f10 and f13.... or maybe it's just me....

Hey Vic55 - quick question:

How does the Burmester sound system on the e63s Ed1 compare with the F90 B&W system? I _think_ the edition 1 only came with the standard Burmester system and not the high-end 3D surround sound one that gets rave reviews. Since you're the only one that has had both cars, would appreciate how they compare.

Thanks!
f.

Ehhhh sorry man Im just not an audiophile but if I took my music source and moved it from car to car and did NOT adjust any of the settings, the E63S system would be better for me. Again, not an audio freak and its a subjective opinion but the E was slightly better. Now I have made some bass adjustments to the OEM M5 B&W system and its fine for my needs.

My favorite audio system is the exhaust and the E wins that battle but I have a few things happening soon to bring make the M sound better.

Appreciate that feedback! Agree on the exhaust being the main sound system!!

Maybe.... I think first up is even more exhaust noise. The car is plenty powerful enough even with the oem boat anchors but they do weigh alot .

If you can test try the 15/12 I think you might like them better as they are more aggressive along with our H&R mild drop.

Also 7mm won't be hub centric which would concern me. Actually illegal here in NZ.

I'd be more inclined to go with 20x10 and put the stock rear tyres onto the front, then go with either the 20x11 or 21x11 rear and go with 305s at the rear but thats just me - I like a straight up and down tyre rather than a small amount of stretch

Same here but nobody makes 305/30/21's and HRE forces your hand with wheel widths on R101 LW's. I'd also like the 20's, but after that pic of the MBB car with the 20's, it looked horrendous. For 305/35/20's, it's just too much sidewall imo and doing 285/35 and 305/30 setup seems silly being a AWD car, might as well keep the stock stagger of only 10mm. Still saving a ton of weight even with the 21" setup though.

Remember I'm running the 19's and the advan tires are really meaty. As of right now almost looks like I don't need a spacer.

I totally forgot about that the amount of "fatness" LOL. Let us know how it turns out.

Whats your tire size in the rear??

285x35x20 is mine which leaves a sidewall measurement of 99.75. I guess you are probably 285x40x19 which is 114.

I caved, the damn M Sports Exhaust is a just too quiet with the insulation inside.

If someone wants it, PM me with a nice fair offer (have no idea what this is worth) and we can figure out the rest.
