If you do go for faster shutter speeds for sharper car images, there is always the "motion blur" in Photoshop that can increase the background blur if it's not enough. I use a Canon 10D which is very similar to your camera. I'm assuming you just fired off shots as fast as the camera would go?

10D is an awesome camera. Eventually I hope to work my way up to needing the 20D but for now the DRebel suffices. It's all about the lenses anyway Do you shoot often? What kind of lenses are in your arsenal? |

What settings did you use on the Rebel (the 6.3 megapixel first-generation one right?). What mode did you put it in? Shutter Speed, Aperature, ISO, etc... ? Thanks.

Yup, the first generation - "300D" I had it in TV mode and was just adjusting the shutter speed (let the camera take care of the aperture). I was in either ISO 100 or 200, definitely no higher. Shutter speed ranged from as slow as 1/4 second to 1/25 second. Are you into photography? |

A little. But I'm nowhere near as good as you. My parents also have the first generation digital Rebel, and I've played with it before. Thanks for the details. Do you prefer the TV mode setting? I'm not that familiar with the camera, so I just usually use Full Auto or P mode.

Just came across these pics again on my hard drive.. can't believe this was almost half a year ago! These were the first real-life moving shots of the E90 I saw and fell in love with it.

Wow ... glad this post was resurrected ... such gorgeous pics and cars. Black is SUCH a good color for the E9x series. If I didn't live in a state that gets a lot of nasty weather, I'd go for black.
Many of those shots, especially the tunnel shots, are BMW brochure worthy, no doubt.
