I finally did it!!!!!!
After all of these years of admiring BMWs, I have finally taken the plung. I have been looking at them since I was 12 years old and now I am 42. Long overdue!!!! I guess I should have bought one years ago but always found a reason not to buy one. For those of you who have kids you will understand how much of a drain those kids have on the cheque book. Now I have the coin to pay cash for the car so I am going for it!
I put down a deposit on a 325i Alpine White, Sport Pkg, A/T & sunroof. Now the waiting starts. My car is scheduled to be built the first week in November which would have me taking delivery of the car middle of December. I have been reading about people waiting for their cars to arrive and I felt your pain. Now I am really going to be feeling that pain first hand. Those of you that have Alpine White e90s can you comment on how you are enjoying your color choice. My buddys are giving me a hard time over choosing Alpine White and have pointed out that a BMW has to be either Black or Silver. I have gone with what I like and that is Alpine White. I didn't want the high maintenance of Black and I am sick of Silver(I have had 9 silver cars). I want to thank everyone in this forum for all of your guidance. It made my decision to buy the car easier. I went to a Lexus Dealer today and sat in the new IS 250 and the sales rep asked me if I needed help. I told him that I was just looking at what I missed by purchasing the e90. I am happy with the deciision I made. |

Hey, good for you! I'm glad. I know kids and the house payment and all the bills and everything else adds up, but every once in a while, you just have to treat yourself! You wanted the car since you were 12, so today you made it a reality! Now the hard part...waiting. Good luck!
P.S. I don't think you did wrong by skipping the IS. I really wanted the old IS300...I test drove one and everything, but I couldn't get it the way I wanted it (no navi, no sport design) so I waited for something better to come along...the IS350 maybe??? Well, pics of the IS350 and E90 came out around the same time. Needless to say I was at the BMW dealership about a week later! |

Yeah, definitely get xenons..can't do without em!
Alpine White is an awesome color for the E90. I'm glad I got AW and no one has been complaining yet :-)

Great color choice. I narrowed it down to silver or white, both classic looking colors and easy to maintain the paint. I currently have a Jet Black BMW, and while it looks great when recently washed and polished, every little defect shows.

bmwczech, congrats!!!!!
I got the exact same spec as yours. AW with sport + sunroof. I enjoy the colour every single second. In my opinion, BMW has to be either White or Black (again, this is only my opinion, I know all other colour owners enjoy their colours as much as we do). However, not only Black requires high maintenance, White does also. Xenons are standard in Canada, so don't worry. Consider adding the rear lip...... I have that, and it looks awesome. The only thing that I need to tell you: YOU MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!! Enjoy. |

Congrats on finally getting your BMW after so long a wait! I don't think I could have waited 30 years.
You will enjoy every minute of it. I distinctly remember picking up my first BMW, it's almost like your first date. You never forget. I was 40 when our xenons first met...

I don't think there is a BAD color for the BMWs, really
I ended up with the Monaco blue because I wanted to be different. I see lots of black, silver and white bimmers out there and my last two cars were green so didn't want that and that red color was just a little too ... too ... too much.

Congrats !! Welcome to that great BMW familly. I agree with most people you won't regreet going with the xenon.
As for color, this is always a personal choice. Don't mind other. However, I would simply remind you of this fact: lighter color (especially white) tend to rust more easily. Since you are living in Victoria and looks like you are having more snow every year ( ), that means more salt and abbrasive on the road. Wash your car carefully and especially under and round the wheels and suspension. Don't keep the car in moist area (preferably under the sun) for too long and you should be fine for quite a while. Happy waiting now... BTW, I too wanted a Bimmer since, what 15. Got my first one at 34 and my second like 2 weeks ago. Quite happy. Also my father has 3 of them. In total we have and had 7 Bimmers and enjoyed all of them ....

Congrats!
Do heated seats come standard there too? You'd be nuts not to get those.
