Pairing Iphone Digital Key

I am unable to pair the digital key to the car.
Whether using the connected app or the link it get's half way thru then gives me a pairing failed error. I have both keys in the car.
Has anyone else ran into this?

Which iPhone do you have? I'm probably the only one here still on the iPhone X. I will need to upgrade my iPhone since that one will not support the BMW digital key, so I read.

If the following instruction were followed, and you have a compatible iPhone and its not working, then you may need to call BMW USA.

BMW Digital Key is available on selected BMWs produced after Summer 2020 with the optional equipment Comfort Access (SA322). To see whether your vehicle is compatible, you can use the My BMW App version 1.2 or later. Use your compatible iPhone to log into the app with your BMW ID and add your vehicle to your account, if it is not already shown on your account. If you see a section marked “Digital Key” on the first tab, then your vehicle is compatible.

The following devices are compatible with BMW Digital Key: iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or later and Apple Watch Series 5 or later. BMW Digital Key will require iOS 13.6 and WatchOS 6.2.8. or later.

Watched that, at this point I don't think it's operator error, I hope.

Did you ever get this resolved? My dealer tried for 30 minutes yesterday and was not able to get it to work. I needed to leave at that point, so we gave up.

I did, the dealer couldn't figure it out but I was able to.
It seems that after the 1st attempt to pair even though it failed the phone was there, I had to delete it then paired again and it worked.

Yes, this worked.

Resetting digital key then repairing it worked. I will add, I believe the 2 car keys need to sit on the center armrest. I think that was my mistake the first time.
