F90 M5 ecu not reading after failed flash

Hi guys,

So I flashed my 2019 F90 M5 with bootmod3 today and the car started behaving strangely. When I first flashed it, car ran fine. I then switched to the st2 93 octane map and that's when things got out of hand.

The car started throwing restraint system, chassis and rear axle differential faults. I stopped the car and tried to reflash but it wouldn't read the ecu. Disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and tried again and all seemed fine for about 50km before it did the same thing. This time it refused to read or pick up the ecu software ids. The car refused to start, dtmal error stuck on the screen and I was unable to read codes, flash back to stock, or move. Had to eventually have the car towed back home. Also noticed that the car isn't going to sleep and keeps on triggering the alarm despite car being closed.

Any idea what's the cause of this and what I can do to fix it?

Really appreciate any feedback

You need to connect with Esys and see the dme status than I would flash back to stock using Esys.

Bm3 support advised me to download ESYS and then they would have a screensharing session to correct it so hopefully this fixes the problem

Okay so, had great support from Serge at BM3, recoded and reflashed the ECU with ESYS. I've run into a second problem, the car doesn't recognise the transmission, it's a can fault. Any idea what I can do?

Not having much luck. Get back on the blower to Serge I guess. Worries me about flashing mine. Not got round to it maybe a good thing.

Okay so just an update, looks like the tow guys disconnected the com cable to the tcu when they were towing the car back to my place on Saturday. Car runs perfectly now. Huge thanks to Serge for sorting out the dme issue

i had the same issue and took me 1 month to fix this.
whatever you were flashing with use same software to flash again
best easiest way is buy mhd flasher license and flash back to stock with it.
