Car «jumps» on me

I live on the top of a small and steep hill, and whenever I fire up my ‘20 F90 and drive down the road while the cold start mode is running, the drivetrain is very unsettling. It seems the car does not like going at the 30 km/h speed limit. If I leave the gas, the car will brake itself way down to maybe 15-20 km/h, and if I give it a slight bit of gas, it will suddendly go to 40 km/h.

If I go to manual gearing, all is good - the car (obvoiusly) stays in gear, and I’m able to keep it nicely at the speed limit.

I’m considering complaining to my dealer, and maybe suggest they disable the cold start program as a workaround. The car is just fine with the cold start if I’m in a flat or uphill terrain. Anyone got opinions or similar experience?

It does not like to be put in gear during the cold start. Can't you wait for 10 seconds for the cold start to finish before driving it? I rather enjoy the cold start sound while idling in my underground parking

That is good advice I guess probably reduces the wear and tear slightly too, in the long run. Thanks!

agree with the above, let it warm up for 30 seconds before you move.

Technical Campaign 0012470500 Programming the control units actually made a difference here - the car is much more settled going down a steep downhill when cold now!
