I was going to say the same thing! Sounds great!

Is there anything else done to that exhaust that makes the turbo whistle more audible?

I have heard people say MPE is better, others Akrapovic. i think there was a youtube video with stock, MPE, and Akra. comments were all over the place.

Is Akra full titanium? MPE isn't. Both aren't worth the exorbitant price tag IMO.

I used to say the same thing until I heard one in person. It's 100% worth the money.

I have the akra on mine and it sounds ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong I'd prefer it over the stock exhaust which is pathetic for a $120k sport car.

Does the Akra system have valves that work with the existing exhaust valve button?

m5 is a fast luxury sedan..

If bmw had slapped an obnoxious exhaust on it, people would be complaining "oh it's too loud for a sedan"

Hopefully someone can update this thread with the "new" version of the exhaust, if it is indeed full titanium that is a welcomed change. For $7k or whatever they want to charge it better be.

Considering this is the same price as the current titanium exhaust i Doubt they suddenly made it full titanium. Sounds like the exact same exhaust.

Hmmmm. Doing a little more research it may seem that they are showing the part available for the F90 LCI... which looks to actually be the same part for the PreLCI. They made it seem like it was a completely new exhaust. Does anyone have a photo of the Titanium exhaust on the floor out of the box? Thanks

I just ordered an '21 M5 Comp and I ordered the M Performance Exhaust. I'm sure it sounds great, but I was quoted for $7500 for mine. I'm not sure if it's the same one offered pre-LCI or not

If anyone has any concrete information let me know.

I believe it's the same as the pre LCI M performance exhaust, which can be had around $5700 online. I told this to my dealership parts department and they agreed to match the online price.

I’m going to do that tomorrow, thank you for the update. Looking back at it now, I definitely fee like I was overcharged.

That is the standard MSRP price for the exhaust. It is expensive. Some other BMW parts dealers sell around wholesale pricing with only a small markup. But you usually have to have the item shipped, something not easy with a huge M Performance exhaust in a box.

And I believe the M Performance exhaust is the same regardless of LCI or not. Sorry I jumped the gun by saying it was released. I saw the LCI release material and they kind of word it in the document as "just released New M Performance Titanium exhaust"

It does sound good however. I installed one today. It doesn't have valves which is interesting. I'm very impressed with how it starts up and idles fairly quietly and reserved. But once you go into sport plus and give the throttle a tap it will absolutely crack.
