Painting my CCB's on MBB.. color?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
My car is at the port and arrives at dealer Thursday. The car is MBB and I ordered it with CCB's. I know the gold CCB's scream "Hey, I got CCB's" but I'm not a big fan of the gold. Other than maybe yellow or black anyone have color suggestions?

Or should I shut my trap and keep them gold? lol

Yellow looks good on a lot of cars. Not sure on MBB. Black is black and I don't necessarily want to hide my nice big fancy CCB's.

Dude, you are all over the place. You don't like gold because they are too flashy but want to paint them yellow? Huh?

You don't like black because then they are not flashy enough?

Shut it and leave them be

Leave the gold- the oem color that is chosen for the carbon ceramics.

It would be like myself painting my yellow ccb's on a Turbo S a different color.

The color defines ccb's for Porsche as the gold does for M.

I personally don't like the gold either and I would paint them too.

Yellow will pop nicely with MBB, but it's bold.

Blue would look good and be subdued.

Bright silver would look good on MBB and give a subtle pop.

But it's your car and YOU have to like it. Getting an opinion on here will likely just end up with people creating their own preference for their own car.

I don't like the gold either. That's not why I didn't get them... I just couldn't see spending that much more. My Interlagos Blue M3 has red calipers and I've always liked them. They actually seem to co-ordinate with red tail lights. If I was going to go to the trouble of painting them, I would go with red.

Yea, I hear ya on the yellow. I almost went with the black car and in that case yellow was an easy choice. It could be too bright on this car.

I have seen a couple of blue cars with red ones. You're right that it matches one of the only other colors on the car. Looks good on some for sure.

I have them on mbb and honestly the gold is very subtle. The wheel design blocks some of the caliper but to each their own!

Normally I would say to paint them Porsche's signal yellow, but I don't think that would look good on MBB.

I'm with you OP, I don't care for the gold at all. Not sure what BMW was thinking with that.

personally i would leave them as-is.. like others have stated gold is bmw's CCB color. Plus, if say you end up doing yellow, that rear cheapo caliper will stand out like sore thumb! (Since bmw was not kind enough to put a 4-piston caliper).. i get the ones that are on there are light weight but it just looks like shit on a 130K car.
