Saw this just now, was just going to post this! Its amazing at 40mph there is such a difference. Agree with TervoM3 in that regards, the vette do leave harder. What I find most interesting out of all these Z06 C7 videos is, adding LT's really didn't help much. Also learned you don't want to mess with a M5 at a 60 roll lol.

Headers are bad if the car isn't tuned from what I know. I'm not an American car guy, but my buddy has a 2019 A10 ZL1, ran 8.3-8.5 consistently 60-130mph stock, added a rotofab intake (later switched for the big gulp) and knocked his time down to 7.65, added headers after with no tune which did nothing but hurt the car, and then went smaller upper with a tune and throttle body now running 7.0 60-130mph. So I'm not sure how headers react when the car is tuned vs untuned. Maybe a difference, maybe none. I'm not sure.

Definitely need the tune with the headers.

Who cares. Stock vs Stock the M5 is obviously faster in the first race. Once you start adding mods like his race where the M5 may even be running worse than a stock M5, you dillute things.

Auto Glory is a fairly reputable channel as they have done many tests so it's not like something shady would be going on.

You obviously especially if your responding Joking aside, don't see how I stated anything different from what your saying, you quoted my confusion from what Trevor stated. Anyway, I too enjoy Auto Glory and Can I be Franks videos, same cars same location down here too.

Yes, we agree.

I'm just saying that you will see people trying to contradict all the time. Plenty of videos showing that either can win on Youtube depending on who gets the jump. This one was pretty fair and M5 won, and it wasn't even from a dig.

The person you quoted seems to discredit the M5 win as if its unusual when there is plenty of real world data (including 100-200 km/h or 60-130 mph dragy runs) that aligns with the first video.

Yeah, guess it makes sense a stock F90 will beat z06 when i posted a video of one with over 740hp passing me at 125.

Again, reading comprehension is critical..

A stock f90 will get trashed 40-130 by a Z06.

Again, you are absolutely correct that reading comprehension is critical. The Auto Glory channel has wayyyy more credibility than some troll on the M5 forums.

For some reason you believe that your video has more credibility than an actual channel that films many races on a daily basis. And to top it off, you even discredit Dragy times, which most people (including legitimate reviewers) use and it's been proven to be miliseconds accurate.

Please tell us more how everyone else's videos are not credible and yours is.

Cool story, i dont care about "credibility". If only you know who autoglory actually was, You'd probably get a kick out of it.

Run a z06 agasint someone who knows what they are doing and let me know how it turns out for you. Or maybe you wont.

Two amazing cars, what a blessing we get to enjoy them. Anyone who owns one of them, if not two, is blessed!

Oh yeah, what now - this is a conspiracy theory against the Z06 by Auto Glory??? 😂

Get real, your insecurities are showing. Someone posts a video of a race and you come back with another video that shows a different result of two different cars. 😂. I thought this is an F90 and not a Civic forum.

Personally I gave up trying to express similarly as you have AmooManiak. Ended up agreeing with Trevor about how strong the 40 hit is from a z06, which he's correct they are strong. (that seems to be what the crutch of his argument is coming from). The rest of the figures like 1/4 mph and 60-130 seems to not matter regardless of the other videos dictating this as well as my own findings. Also it seems Trevor loves/misses his z06. Personally i liked it a lot but love the m5 so much more. They are faster all around, but be carefully when roll racing from a 40 roll against a z06, the z06 seems to become faster than it is normally is at 40mph I joke of course. Or most importantly, make sure you don't let the z06 get the hit.

God bless America

I recall a great description and I don't forget.

"But let's start with that flathead V8 that Henry Ford introduced to the world in 1932. Its advanced crankshaft design, high pressure oil lubrication and one-piece block were pretty revolutionary for the time. The low price point was an additional draw card and variations of this engine powered countless Fords well into the '50s. Hot rodders also loved the Flathead V8, as it could be run on a shoestring budget and it dominated the modifying scene until the more efficient OHV V8s started to arrive"

Even better a recent description from a place I'm very passionate about:

Corvette C7.R

This is utter filth. Really, it is. So filthy, in fact, that the C7.R should have had some kind of mature content sticker in its day, something to warn spectators of the dirty, dirty noises that were soon to fill the air.

Competing for the first time in 2014, the C7.R was based on the Corvette C7, the seventh and final front-engined Corvette, and used broadly the same 5.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine as its predecessor the C6.R. It won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015 (and nearly in 2017, succumbing to a last-last lap puncture after a battle with an Aston Martin), and over the course of five years it took 17 victories, including wins in the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Daytona.

With a new flat-plane crank, mid-mounted V8 engine in the C8.R, that booming V8 Corvette thunder will never be heard again. Still, what a sound.

LOL. I'm not arguing with anyone for the sake of arguing, i know very well what the f90 is capable of. I roll and dig with my fathers car at the track. I do love and miss the Z06, but we all move on, and i've got quite the track weapon now, even though i dont track it. One day i can see myself buying a C7ZR1.

Did you happen to catch the video of the new C8Z at the Nurburgring? Sounds quite interesting.... Definitely a far cry from what we are used to hearing from an american v8.

This a car (C8 Z06) I am anxiously awaiting. Already have my name on a list. The only other car I am considering is the soon to be released 911 GTS.
