Its probably a Miami Dade or Broward County Police SWAT vehicle, for some reason US police forces have a tendency to buy full on military vehicles in their war against citizens. But that's a another story for another day

I have to say I'm impressed with the track, its really wide with some nice technical sections that caught a few of the drivers out. The times should come down quite a bit in FP2 as it was hard for anyone to get a clean lap.

Interesting, the Mercedes upgrades seem to be working... Not sure how, but they're working, little to no porpoising on the w13. Like I said before it was told early to call it a flawed design just because the side pods were so radical, unless you have CFD data you can't judge it. Did it look shit early on - absolutely, but we had to give Mercedes a chance to try and fix it before we can call it a flawed design.



Another few interesting things I saw were more teams using floor stays - Williams and Alfa. I suspected more teams to do so, as this will allow them to run thinner floors without worrying about flex and thus save weight. I suspected redbull and Ferrari will also look into this as they desperately try to save weight.

I'm surprised at the level of improvement without a new floor. Everyone is running lower down force here so that may come into play as well.

Lets see how FP2 looks hopefully they get some clean runs in, Ham got caught up in traffic on a flying lap at the end of practice.

Btw did you guys see the Mercedes end plates? Fricken genius how they were able to create that slot by tilting the elements connection to the end plate forwards. This way the rules are met but the slot is still created. Mercedes showing they're still the most innovative team...

I wish they'd talk more about the technical aspects. I'm so baffled how the w13 stopped bouncing, these upgrades should be doing this yet they are. The f1technical guys are at a loss for explanation too.

This was one of the most pathetic throws I've ever seen from a celeb, from the form to the throw itself. It literally almost didn't make it. At least it was on target.

How they got it seemingly (well at this track) under control is top secret and this particular info will not be revealed. We'll see in race mode if it stands up.

I think it's easier for the catcher to grab 100 mph fast balls that are on target than having to reach forward off balance to catch a ball that didn't make it.
