RAM resolution time
Maybe beneficial to those who are awaiting delivery if we keep track of the time to resolve the RAM issues (for those of us who have the issue in our cars). I for one do.
You can check to see if your VIN is impacted here: https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app/ My data: Order date: July 15, 2021 Sail date: October 14, 2021 Arrive Port of Charleston: November 2, 2021 RAM issue open, 13 days. (I'd really like me car please BMW). |

I’m in a similar situation. My car is on the vessel, set to be at Port Hueneme in CA on 12/01. Also have the RAM stop sale. I’m told it will go to the VPC same day as it gets here, then 3-4 days there, then to my dealership within a day. Hoping I’ll have it by the first week of December.

Oh - sorry if I didn't communicate clearly. My RAM issue is NOT yet resolved (open status). Currently at 14 days and counting.
However, if yours is resolved that gives me a good indication I should be close behind. (not sure if they would wait to do this on mine at the same time they install the M performance exhaust). |

My CA just called to let me know the car is finished and waiting for a ship. He estimated mid-December delivery. I asked about the RAM and he said they have them at the port and will install it there.
I just said well, ok then. |

Interesting. I really hope this is true. My guy also keeps telling me not to worry. He’s really setting the bar high, so if it doesn’t happen I’m raising hell. Lol

My car (M5CS) had the RAM stop sale after completion. It when to the port and on a ship with in a matter of days ie normal time to fast. Arrived in Oxnard 4weeks later. Sat for about a week with the open work order. Now closed and awaiting release to a carrier. So in total I'd say 4-6 week wait for that part. Fortunately for me, most of the time was while at sea waiting anyway.

If they had them at the port, my car wouldn't be sitting there waiting for one for the last 26 days. I am guessing your CA doesn't have any more information than the Genius folks do. I hope you have better luck than I have had.

My car has been sitting at port for a number of weeks now. Just checked the VIN recall and see it has "Retrofitting the receiver audio module" listed as the code description. I assume this is the "RAM" everyone else is waiting on? VIN status still says open as well. I think it's been there for a good 4 weeks now.

I doubt he'd say, "it's coming but I have no idea when you'll get it!" I'm not holding my breath for this year. |

Oooohhhhh....exciting! Mine's cleared the RAM recall! So about 16 days at Port of Charleston. I'll email my CA and see if that means my MPE is also done and it's on it's way to the PC.

For mine, no update on the carbon fiber m performance parts, aka they're not on the car yet lol, so now the wait continues...honestly they probably have the cars sitting waiting for the RAM then once that's done they move onto adding sccesories which sucks but....

Mine was released yesterday. On the way to dealer now. Was “at port” for about three weeks for the recall.
