Nice!

Any specific reason you didn’t go with BMW’s staggered setup? Rotation or handling preference?

Driving in deep snow, an all square setup is best plus these are actually the setup BMW offers in Canada. My winter setup was purchased when a negotiated the sale from BMW (which I believe I got a good price on).

Interesting, that suggests that the x-drive system can handle at least some amount of rotational bias deviation from “normal”... thanks for the additional information!

Snow is cancelled this year because of Covid.

Fwiw, I have run a square set of tires, Michelin Pilot Alpin PA 4 in size 285/35-20 on Stock (non square) wheels and have been very satisfied with no issues.
Some have noted that the PA4 tire changes tread pattern between 275/35-20 and 285/35-20 which I avoid but my motivation was a great deal on size 285/35-20 only.

I was thinking of doing this as well, for different reasons. Do you happen to have any pictures of the car with these tires on, showing in particular the fronts and the amount of bulge (if any) from the wider front tire? In fact, would love to see a comparison between front and rear if you have it.

Thanks!

Only 149 days until the snows come off.
