Removal/replacing lower air grille
Anyone ever remove or replace this piece?
It appears it is a separate piece from the front bumper cover. Anyway, the lower three supports have cracked loose from the bottom skirt, and I need to replace the piece. Although the honeycomb parts look to be unpainted black, it appears that the lower curved arch piece is painted body color. Is that correct? So basically would need to get that part of the piece painted only? Would likely get the part and take to my Indy body shop to keep off the dealer’s radar, since it’s a lease. |

Dealer will have the front bumper cover off my car next Monday (at dealer) to properly reinstall it since the repair. I'll try to get some photos and info for you.

Thanks.
I ordered the part, and it should be in in a few days. I guess we'll see if it needs painting on the arch when it arrives. Could you see how involved it is to remove and replace? There are four retaining bolts on the underside of the chin, but it's those blasted plastic snap ins that I hate. |
