good luck. Pretty car but somebody could lease a brand new one quite easily with that much down and that monthly so I'd guess you end up having to give more on the down.

Yes those numbers seem pretty tough for a 2018 model considering you could lease a new competition model for probably around that range.

That's basically a $1900 payment if someone put $0 down ($7000 down gets spread over only 24 months since that's all that remains on the lease), and I think you could do a lot better than that on a brand new base model, and possibly even better on a brand new comp.

I've sold 9 leases so far on SwapAlease. A few lessons learned along the way:
1. don't ask for a downpayment--I stopped doing that a long time ago when I continually lost interested parties. If you're prepared to wait, perhaps it'll go but I never shifted a lease with a required downpayment.

2. list the lease without your local tax but be open about that in the comments; the tax rates vary so wildly and you may price yourself out of a query

3. upload actual pics, not stock photos. Upload at least exterior pics from various angles at a distance and close-ups, same for the interior--it's what drives most clicks to view your car so ensure the default picture is freakin' awesome

4. ensure there's good reason for them to take your car vs. getting a new one--I don't see that right now. $7K down and an $1800-$1900 payment is a reasonably well-equipped brand new 2019 M5 Comp hence no reason to go with your car. Lose the $7K down ask and now your car's special.

That's the problem with getting something 'new' and then trying to unload. Cap costs now are much better than last year. Non comp '19 can be had for a lot less and no deposit

Great looking car, but I think you are going to struggle to unload it at that payment, even without a down payment. Good luck.

yes, on a 118K build with that much down payment should have been way lower.. as others pointed out if you want that car to be taken over you need to eat that downpayment.. on a lease you max you should be paying for drive off should be your registration and maybe first payment but even with those you should use manufacturer incentives to cover those and work the dealer..

I agree with all points above. I've assumed at least 10+ leases on swapalease and can assure that with your high monthly payment on a $118k car with $7k down is not going to get you any buyers. Take a look what people are offering now on swapalease. I was able to get a 2018 M5, $128k MSRP, 4k miles on the odometer @$1,398 per mo, $0 down and taxes included in that payment. Sorry, but you're going to need to offer an incentive for someone to take over you car.

Most people on swap a lease want to put zero down. That's why they are there in the first place.
There are people who will scrape together a few dollars to get into an amazing deal but that's about as far as it's going to go.

The posts all support the same basic point (i.e. not a good enough deal to sell the lease, etc.) and the more data/opinions/past examples the better. Sure, there's definitely a point where a thread is 'dead' but we're nowhere near that yet (to me at least).

So I'm a bit confused why you think it's messing with the thread.

I'd take even this a few steps further: folks looking to assume a lease *expect* to get something wayyyyyyyyyy better than what's being offered on a newly leased vehicle--that's the key to SwapAlease (beyond the occasional availability issues stemming from supply-and-demand imbalances).

Any car has to seriously stand-out on SwapAlease relative to its SwapAlease competition but it has to most especially do so when compared to new leases.

There are 5 around $1350 / month and over 10 under $1,500. 4 or more of these were offering incentives.

Heck, if I didn't have a car already, I'd assume one of these!
